A Successful Pre-Opening

A Successful Pre-Opening

Last Friday (May 15th), we had a successful pre-opening. Wow, you sure were thirsty Whitehorse. We filled over 100 growlers! We had awesome representation from our neighbours here in the Mount Sima area as well as folks from all around Whitehorse.

On offer, we had our High Noon Hef and Pingo Pale Ale, both excellent beers for the beautiful summer-like weather forecast for the May-long weekend.  High Noon Hef is our German-style wheat beer (aka Hefeweizen), an unfiltered beer with aromas of banana and clove (from the Bavarian Yeast) and a refreshingly tart finish from the 50% wheat malt used in the brew. Our Pingo Pale Ale is an American-style pale ale, loaded with fruity hops with a nice crisp bitterness.

The brewery will be closed this weekend, as we'll be heading to the 23rd Annual Haines Beer Fest to serve our beer, and we hope to see you all there!  We are excited to be on the other side of the table for the first time, pouring tasters of our very first Winterlong brews. Typically we are the ones in the tasting line with the rest of you (although I hope we get to partake in some of that ourselves).

And as previously advertised we will be opening more officially on Friday, May 29th, 2015. We hope to have four beers available by then, so get your growlers ready. We also have Winterlong growlers for sale (both small 1.0 L and large 1.9 L). Keep checking the website for updates on what beers are available.
